Central Marketing Associates (CMA) is over a 100-year-old company who started as broker of produce who has also been brokering freight for the nearly 20 years. The family company was sold to an investment firm in 2020 and the current ownership team is highly investing in the organic expansion of our freight brokering operations.

We are actively seeking EXPIRENCED FREIGHT BROKERS who have an established book of business to join our team. While we are owned by an investment firm, we have a family-oriented culture, with a small business feel, and we intend to maintain that culture even as we continue to grow in the coming years.

If you are an experienced freight broker with an established book of business, we are interested in speaking with you to determine if you joining our team could be mutually beneficial.

A success candidate for this role will be able to excel at:

• Prospecting for new clients through phone calls, email, networking, LinkedIn or other methods
• Quoting and negotiating rates with clients to establish prices which meet financial objectives while providing a high level of service for the client
• Negotiate with carriers to find the right carrier for the load at the most optimal cost
• Develop deep client relationships for assigned accounts to provide outstanding service while growing our share of wallet with each client.
• Develop and nurture relationships with carriers to build a base of carriers for the client base
• Actively monitor and manage all routing for assigned loads and clients
• Problem solves issues as they arise

A successful candidate will have the following experience:

• Minimum of 1 year for Freight Brokerage experience
• An established client and carrier base
• Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Logistics, Supply Chair or any other relevant background is preferred but not required

What CMA brings to the table?

• Salary commensurate with experience. Base salary range between $45,000 - $75,000
• Uncapped commission of 15% based upon weekly gross profit
